Tour #3 Hits the Shelves!

Artist Kelly Knopp and historian Amber Beierle have partnered up once more to combine art and history in the newest edition to the celebrated children's book series, A While Ago in Idaho, Tour #3. A special collaboration with the Idaho Association of Museums, Tour #3 is the Idaho Animal Edition.

Narrated by a lovable tour guide named Belmont Beaver, kids can join Belmont as he makes new friends and learns about the history of some of Idaho's furry, feathered, and scaly animals. These illustrated explorations of the state of Idaho educate and enlighten kids to learn about history, and offer a teaching opportunity that connects the whole family.

Kelly Knopp (illustrator) and Amber Beierle (historian) have published various projects together—they have a knack for pairing historical facts and stories with artwork—which inspired the children's book series A While Ago in Idaho and the supplementary educational resources. Self-published and produced entirely in Idaho, the books are filled with colorful artwork illustrating some lesser-known Idaho history.
