About the Authors

Kelly Knopp (illustrator) and Amber Beierle (historian) have published various projects together—they have a knack for pairing historical facts and stories with artwork—which inspired the celebrated children's book series "A While Ago in Idaho" and the supplementary educational resources. Self-published and produced entirely in Idaho, the books are filled with colorful artwork illustrating some strange and lesser-known history, narrated by a lovable tour guide named "Belmont Beaver." These illustrated explorations of the state of Idaho educate and enlighten kids to learn about history, and offer a teaching opportunity that connects the whole family. Learning about history can be fun!

Book Donation Program
As this company grows we will strive to make these educational products more accessible by providing discounted classroom and homeschool sets as well as school visits when safety allows. For now we will be donating 10 books to Idaho elementary schools for every 100 books sold.
